I'll be 68 in 2 months. When I was a teenager, every gym had a boxing ring. Today very few have them. Boxers in the 50's and 60's made way more money than a player in the MLB NFL NBA NHL. Today that is not true anymore. Also, both HW champions are not from the U.S. Money Mayweather make the sport great because young people loved him. Americans love the HW division. We have not had a great American fighter in years. Maybe that's the reason. Who knows. I know I'm tore up.

There are times I come to NSB and the only topics are the ones that come from the main page. People don't post topics anymore. There is a big chunk that come to a boxing site to talk about politics and social justice themes.

Most of them probably want to go back, but there's not much money in the Showtime coffers.

I don't know what mesmerizing rituals Al Haymon did to these people why they won't even attempt to venture out there and look for greener pastures. They waste their primes as if it will always be there for them. I don't think the boxing profession is still as lucrative as it used to be. Well, it is only when you have superstar status, anyways.

Even when DAZN was spending money like drunken sailors they won't take advantage of it.

Idk why promoters don't do business with Popular YouTube Boxers with big $$$ monetized channels to at least show their up and comers events.
That way they can keep their fighters busy. They can make a lot of money from Sponsorships and ads alone. Not to mention, it'll get some of these no personality boxers some fans.

Let's be real here, no woman or anybody born in the late 90s, 00's have Top Rank or DAZN on notify with YouTube. But millions do for the Paul's, Fazes, KSIs etc.

If a fighter is their own promoter, they should be looking at YouTube networks to fight on instead of waiting 18 months for nobody to remember who they are...

                NSB used to be great.
I just don’t get these ignorant fughs who call boxers bums
If you call them out on it I think just makes it worse
These guys are supposed to be the seventh great boxing fans / experts in their minds
The other thing that blows me the fugh away is the amount of alt accounts created day in day out
We know who they are just like the so-called boxing fans who call fighters bums
No fughin respect, remember when respect ruled whether it was on the street or straight up

You mean school gyms? I guess they got rid of them like shop classes.

Yeah, a lot of it has to do with the gridlock in the sport leading to less interest.

Unless you're into women's boxing, then very few great fights get made anymore.

The culture Mayweather brought in with guys being afraid of losing their "0" has really hurt the sport too.

Now, guys won't fight a tough fight unless they know they're going to make a career-defining money, which leads to less passionate fans, which leads to boards like this having less discourse.
