Crawford made the biggest payday of his career by fighting Avanesyan. I don’t think that pay was due to Avanesyan’s name so he can make the same amount fighting Boots or Ortiz if not more.
So I don’t think it’s a money issue. I believe Crawford is afraid of losing to Boots.

Spence and Boots share the same promoter so maybe that’s what’s getting in the way of the fight but I still think Spence is also avoiding Boots.

Crawford's payday in that fight is all alleged. And I agree that if Crawford hit that payday mark in his last fight that he can do it again. However if he or Spence were to step in with those young lions in question....and lose badly, the buck/momentum would stop right there. Stepping in the ring with Boots of Ortiz come with so many risks - career changers.

Risks come with a Crawford VS Spence fight which is why they're hesitant to sign on the dotted line. But there is more legitimate money in that fight! It's easier for them to say yes to that fight..... and they haven't said yes yet smh/lol.

There is no escaping anyone this year. Either together fight each other or Boots/Ortiz or both vacate their belts.
