I think Joshua should be allowed to regroup on some average tier boxers then come back 100% again. I wouldn't want a fight between Joshua and one of the top names because Joshua isn't 100% and it will be used as ammo for the haters "Wilder/Fury picked Joshua when he was weak and not himself" blahblah.

I'm not mad at Joshua especially considering Whyte 2 was first floated around which would have people bitching "didn't this journeyman just get beat by Franklin"
I completely agree, well said. Franklin is not a bum, he proved that against Dillian. A fight starightaway with Deontay after a 2 fight losing streak is way too risky. If he struggles with Franklin, either Franklin is just the real deal or AJ is on the decline.

I think Joshua is taking a light touch, here. It is an easier fight than Charles Martin II, which may be next.
Martin Bakole is ready and willing after derailing Yoka.

Would be funny if Eddie pulled an April Fool's prank and on the night of the fight they had Dillian Whyte walk out to the ring.

Maybe this is best for Joshua. Maybe they will raise his hand at the end of the fight. There was talk of a Whyte fight but it seems team Joshua thought they were overmatched so they picked someone Whyte had beat.

That is a new low for a former champion.

I can understand a tune-up but it usually is someone recognizable coming off a few wins.
