at any weight lets be honest floyd woulda done the same thing to JMM
if not more brutal.. since floyd was more aggressive at 130,135 and 140
Saying something is different than actually doing it.

What school did you go to?

    Coz that's basic logic 101.

Im just pointing out of what floyd fans are saying that Floyd is to big and skilled for Manny. Thats why im asking if Floyd would be willing to fight Manny at 140lbs to make it a little bit even..

Or perhaps Floyd just want to fight a boxer if he thinks he has all the advantage. What about fighting with a little advantage than the opponent?
I think will be thinking to retire again if he feels that he has no advantage anymore.

          Ah...I hear you.

I actually think the weight has actually hurt Floyd in the long run against certain opponents. Someone like Pac I would even say could take advantage of Floyd's inactivity and less movement around the ring compared to his days below 147. Same with Cotto.

One reason why I would want Cotto to win would be because I would want to see what Floyd would do next. His options would be Cotto, Mosley, ?
I want to see what he is made of right now.
I think his career at 147 was a waste and he is a boring fighter at 147.
I also don't like the Money Mayweather b.s. either. He pisses on those same fans that support him.

I think are almost on the same page. But ofcourse i hope that Pacquiao will win but if ever he will not then let see if what Floyd next move will be.. I can't wait to know what Prettyboy move will be.

If he fights legit WW boxers then he will earn a lot of respect for sure even though he talks lots of trash.

He would still beat him, I agree on that. At any weight Mayweather would still be much taller with a much greater reach and quicker. It would though be a closer fight. Marquez was so much faster as well at those weights and that right hand that landed would hurt Mayweather down there at 130. Marquez is a very strong puncher and a good right hand by him would hurt anyone.

But, it wouldn't matter what weight Mayweather would still win, but it would never be by anything other than decision. No KO, or TKO.

Floyd was fighting at 147....JMM didn't know that?

                  Floyd did it once.
Freddie has done it repeatedly but at least he is honest with wanting to kill fighters before they step into the ring while I'm not sure it was a mistake with Floyd. Chances are Floyd thought he could make weight and at some point may have realized he wasn't going to make it...not at this point.

Fighters have moved up in weight-classes before and won. You have to remember you don't have to gain the weight. You can always show up in full clothes with some weights on your ankles to make the weight for the scale. If you feel the extra weight will hurt you, don't add it.

Floyd fought JMM to get to Pac. I thought that was obvious as soon as he picked him as an opponent.

It's funny how it is totally different when we talk about the Heavyweight division like it doesn't matter yet when we talk about lower weight classes...OMG... 2+ pounds.

Taking weight off is going to hurt you more than putting weight on when moving up because increased weight can make you stronger and even healthier (if your body has been under to much stress continually making lower weights)...plus, you have the option as to how much weight you put on while decreasing weight you have to reach a target. One can increase life while the other can decrease life.

                  HOPKINS VS. TARVER

Considering the way things are setup, weight differences seem to happen in most fights, if not all.
That's why you have lightweights showing up as WW by fight-time and WW showing up as MW and even SMW by fight-time...and so on.

All that said, and I've said this in a prior post recently...it will be interesting to see what Floyd does if Cotto beats Pac (especially by KO). Who will Floyd fight: Cotto, Mosley, ?

Mayweather would win, and probably comfortably, but not anything like he did at welterweight. At 130 or 135 Marquez would have strength and speed he completely lacked in that fight, and would not be so helpless.

Mr boat buyer beats him at those weights, which is why he shoulda faced him at JWW. JMM up 1, he goes down 1, nobody complains, win is credible. And if he knew damn well he couldn't get that low, the fight never shoulda happened. Tuneup at WW against an actual WW. Period.
