Floyd wins on skills against JMM and I would be quite confident pitting the 140 pound version of Floyd against Pac at any weight...even his current weight.

I think the 140 pound version of Floyd beats the 147 pound version. The only time Floyd looked good at 147 like he did at the lower weights was in the Mitchell fight where he took it to him. Other than that....just a paycheck collector.

Right now he fights to preserve his Brain/Body for after his career is over. He'll do enough to win but don't expect him to break down an opponent and finish him when he could have.

I don't know if I would have become a fan of Floyd if I had just caught on to him at 147. It was his early part of his career that I became a fan.

This is how Floyd would have continued to fight JMM

You noticed that the jab was back, all thanks to Floyd Sr. Watching Mayweather's early stuff, I said what happen to the jab?!

So are you saying that if ever the fight happens between Manny and Floyd it should be at 140lbs?

PBF would still win in any of those weight, though 147 make thing worst for JMM..

PBF has yet to face a boxer who have to make him work on offense, someone who is not leaving himself open when attacking. PBF is a great defensive genius who capitalizes on opponents "small" openings.. i'm still waiting to see PBF initializing the offense..

funny how the small guy JMM is the one pressing the action while PBF is just happy pot shotting.. JMM is a great counter puncher, not a slugger.. and yet on their match, he haven't fully displayed it... because PBF don't want to slug it out against the small guy..

NO....and no point in it now. Both are fighting at 147 and Floyd can't make 140 anymore. You have to remember that Floyd back then when he was at 140 wasn't blowing up in weight either by fight-time. I think he used to come in at 3-5 pounds more than the scale-weight.

What I'm saying is that the 140 pound version of Floyd was better than what we see now and would be the version of Floyd I would pit against Manny Pac.

This version of Floyd is actually more beatable in my opinion. Smart work-rate can trouble him.
I'm still not sold on his stamina at this point either no matter how much I hear how good he is in training camp. Either he is too worried to take risks in fights now so he doesn't throw that many or he is holding back because there is only so much gas in the tank (which is still better than most) with his current weight (after settling in at 147). Increased weight tends to decrease stamina. Why this didn't happen to Pac...not sure. Pac's new school compared to Floyd though in the nutrition and training department so that is always a helper.

I meant what i said hypothetically..

because from what i see floyd cant make 140 anymore.. he couldnt even make 144.. LOL.. he's just not for that weight class anymore

but yea if this fight happened when money may was at 140... mannnn
that prolly woulda been epic for sure

Balls has nothing to do with it. It's about being smart. If you can't make 140 anymore why would you fight there?

                      You want another Oscar?

I don't understand this Freddie Roach mentality of wanting fighters to show up dead by fight-time.

Commodus mentality of stabbing your opponents kidney/energy before you step into the ring
