If Cotto KO's Pacquiao, I think Mayweather will fight Mosley. He prefers to deal with Golden Boy rather than Arum. Cotto will then probably wait 5-6 months and fight Maragrito at the Garden with full hand-wrap inspections. He wants to avenge that loss and Arum will have no problem making that fight. Then maybe at the end of 2010, we could see Mayweather-Cotto or Mosley-Cotto II.

I'd like to see Mayweather fight Mosley before Pacquiao, plain and simple. After watching the fight against Marquez I'm less intrigued at seeing Mayweather-Pacquaio and more than anything I want to see Floyd fight a legit WW. No more smaller men. Luckily, after Pacquiao, there really isn't anyone else smaller for Mayweather to fight. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't put it past Floyd to try to grab someone from the LW division like Tim Bradley to fight but all the big money is against Mosley or Cotto. Let's hope this fight materializes for early next year or if Santa wants to hook me up early, before years end.

        of course it does.

Well, I can see floyd getting the UD or SD if it gets to competitive (doubt it) yet I would much rather see that, than seeing him fight Pacquiao...

Since the fight seems to be so easy.

Then gayweather should just fight Mosley before he wants his payday with Pac.

Heck! Pac is willing to fight Mosley should the Cotto negotiations fail.

DOes gayweather have that kind of balls?

              Not.

Floyd vs Mosley would be a good fight, but not enough dough, and biggest fight is Mayweather vs Pacquiao/Cotto Winner anfter that maybe Mosley,

This is GBP pulling the same card Arum is doing. Both want to keep everything "in house"

I don't think we will ever see a Manny vs Floyd fight.

One of the more sane posts on this subject.

RE: Mayorga/Mosley....every fighter has a certain type/style that causes him trouble. In other words, styles make fights. Mayorga was big enough, tough enough, and had the right style to cause Mosley troubles, but Shane eventually got to him. I don't expect MOsley to have the same trouble with Floyd. He and Mosley are roughly the same size, and Shane even has a reach advantage, so Mayweather won't be able to escape as easily by laying back and rolling his shoulder, using his elbow, etc. Shane will be able to reach him and land. And Mayweather has problems with a good stiff jab. While MOsley doesn't use his jab as much as he should, when he does throw it with conviction, it's beautiful, and I think Shane is smart enough to use it against Mayweather, often, and with intent.

I think Shane KO's Mayweather if the fight happens, which of course, it won't, as Mayweather would never sign a Mosley fight, knowing the danger Mosley presents for him even better than I do.

                    Shane beats Mayweather!

I used to think that Mayweather would win in a fight against Mosley at 147, but after watching Mayweather go 12 with a Superfeatherweight, I am convinced that he wont be able to hurt Shane and Shane will do some serioud damage to Mayweather's body and set him up for a late round stoppage.

I believe that Mosley has a chance not a great chance but he has one. It will be a harder fight for May than his past fights but he will win by decision.
