Too many fighters are now extremely inactive. There seems to be no end in sight. They're supposed to be announcing their next fights by this time. I see no sense of urgency.

Why is Jermall Charlo not fighting anymore? That is the bigger issue. Why even mention Benavidez when Charlo can't even fight anybody?

Caleb is an outstanding fighter but, if Canelo has the ability to stop Caleb in the 11th, Benavidez will do it much sooner.

It’s a high possibility that you will be correct, very high. But DB better not go in there head hunting. He needs to go to the body to take away Plant’s legs because we all know Plant will be on the run. Although because DB is a natural 168 fighter and not someone coming up from 147, 154, his punches can do more damage quicker and therefore he can absolutely get Plant out of there faster.

Ah. Benavidez. As articulate as ever. A fine display of his intelligence. What he is not: a great fighter. He's a rock 'em, sock 'em robot. He moves like a wooden toy soldier. Or a large plodding canine with hip dysplasia. His ring IQ is barely in the double digits. His battering of straw men is less than impressive. Let alone, he has the wit of a mental deficient strung out on coke. The clowns who populate the middle and mediocre ranks of boxing are fairly talent-less and it is among those Benavidez has found his mark(s). He has never fought a world-class fighter. As for Canelo, he is quickly ageing and has already dispatched the belt-holders in his path - Benavidez had best put a show on with Plant, otherise there is no money in Canelo fighting Benavidez - and at this point it is about cash and legacy - Canelo doesn' need Benavidez. It is a business and Canelo has no need of engaging in blood sport simply to satisfy his or anyone else's misdirected ego. As for 'ducking' Benavidez, that is sheer nonsense. Canelo fought Biviol. Biviol a world-class, genuinely great fighter would beat Benavidez like a gong and Benavidez would 'kiss the canvas' after literally, having his brains beat out.of him. Benavidez would handily be sent packing by the 'old' version of GGG, let alone a prime Biviol. Benavidez is a self-advertisement for none other than himself and an over inflated ego. All those who venerate such as Benavidez need to put him in context. If I could predict the fight between Plant & Benavidez, I'd bet the house. It goes either way - neither being a surprise.
