WBO #1 Jr. Featherweight contender Ra'eese "The Beast" Aleem (20-0, 12 KOs), who views himself as one of the most avoided men in boxing, wants to welcome the undisputed bantamweight world champion Naoya Inoue (24-0, 12 KOs), better known by his nickname "The Monster" to the 122 lbs. division.

Aleem is being avoided by Fulton, but he’s not the most avoided guy.

Fulton followed up the Figueroa win with nothing much. He should have fought Aleem by now.

Inoue should fight this guy next if Fulton is running away

This would be a good fight for Inoue to really test the water at 122 if he doesn't get Fulton or Akhmadaliev right away. Aleem is a good fighter, but he hasn't been active so he's pretty unknown. Wouldn't mind seeing this happen.

That would be a crazy first fight at the weight for Inoue

In the age of media stars, they make it easy to avoid a fight. The pay for fighting Willy Lumplump is just as good, they come to see the darling and Willy doesn't stand a chance. Toiling in obscurity is old fashioned.

That's about as tough a first fight in the division as you can get for Inoue short of the champions. Maybe Luis Nery?
