Michel Rivera has a decent record even with the loss on it, at least 13 of his opponents had decent winning records.
That said he's no Ali, and at 140 all of the physical advantage's he used to have over his opponent's won't be there.
To make matters even worse he's moving up to the toughest division in boxing, he'll beat some at 140, but he'll also lose to some.
I don't see him being very successful in the 140 pound weight class, and don't foresee any world championships in his future.
Brandun Lee has got a really good record, but he was rocked, and dropped by Will Madera recently, not a very good look.
Without a doubt he does get credit for getting up, and not making the same mistake again which allowed him to win the fight.
That said if that had been any of the top ranked fighters dropping him, that would've been curtains for the Bruce Lee look a like.
I haven't been lucky enough to have seen any of Shohjahon Ergashev's fight's, in order to give you an educated analysis about him.
I thank you for the respectful dialogue, I've fought in the street, in the ring, and life in general, but it's good to talk at the end of the day.

Wasted talent. Could have recovered since the Loma Bout but never regained that hype

Moving up to do what exactly? All the noise he made in the past 5 years was through social media. We could do without him especially being 35, injury prone and fighting forced mando's once every 18mos.

No need for thanks! You put me on to Subriel "Browny" Matias! I'm forever grateful! Ergashev is a Kronk's Gym Fighter! Need I say more? Keep fighting the "Good Fight!" Jah Bless!

He's never been about trying to further his career. He sticks to picking up his annual PBC check. Can't really fault him though even if it sucks for fans.
