Comments Thread For: Lou DiBella: Stephan Shaw Is The Whole Package; Fight Against Ajagba Is His Coming-Out Party

By Keith Idec - Stephan Shaw was adamant about accepting the biggest fight of his career on short notice last month. Shaw spent entirely too much time in what he called "dark places," depressed because his boxing career hadn't gone as he had planned. The unbeaten heavyweight therefore felt turning down a main event ESPN will televise against Efe Ajagba on Saturday night wasn't an option.

Nice matchup and I expect Shaw to defeat Ajagba. Shaw is the better boxer and he looks more fluid and composed in the ring than Ajagba. I like Efe but I feel like his development has plateaued. He's dangerous if he can line you up and hit you but his defense isnt the best and he can't really handle lateral movement all that well.

I have Shaw taking this - decision though I don't think Ajagba appears all that durable personally so wouldn't be surprised to see Shaw open up on him late and make a statement.

Can't remember him ever being considered a boogeyman, hype built around him after that shít Harper kid left the ring.

Efe is/was slower than molasses and lacks any real discernible ability and also got dropped by a badly hurt cruiserweight which in all honesty should've ended any "boogeyman" status if there ever was any, which is as I said I don't believe there was just hype...

If Shaw is half decent, he has a chance.

Shaw is the real deal, he'll be coming to fight and fight well. Ajagba has lost a lot of stock with fans since the Sanchez bout. And he's been dropped a few times. Not sure where his confidence level is, but he is still very dangerous. This reminds me of the HW fights from the 80's .... anyone might win and it promises fireworks.

I don't know what you guys are seeing in Shaw but I think Efe stops him.

Sanchez would have beaten Shaw too
