Why arent combat sports more popular ?

There's a season for every sport, team sport I guess and boxers can't fight as often as they play

Boxing advertises to itself. Some promoters managed to capture certain demographics like Golden boy promotions caters to Mexicans and Mexican americans, and PBC and Showtime get the urban black viewers but by and large boxing caters to itself. It used to be boxers would appear on late night TV shows and interviews and get people interested and stay in the public focus but now other than YouTube low key interviews boxers usually stay out of the public eye.

Deep down, even boxing fans know it's fundamentally wrong.

It's the most pure sporting test of a being. Not everyone gets it.

I wouldn't say they are more action packed. I can see why a lot of casual fans may watch and find fights boring. Cause most of the time they are not like the movies where its non stop punching each other in the face and straight KOs. I'm more of a boxing fan and only got more into ufc a few years ago and I find that boring a lot of times if they are just clinching or on holding each other on the ground a lot of the time.

Also another simple reason could be, Other sports have a set schedule. Warrior's will have to play Lakers they can't duck each other over money. United have to play Liverpool. Barcelona have to play Madrid. Big games are guaranteed every season. There is no guarantee in boxing or combat sports that the best will fight each other even once never mind more than once.

Same reason why men, but not all men, will volunteer to go to war. Some men prefer to stay home with the children with the women. Some of us are just built to protect. No one values Alfa men till **** BAD sheeit is happening. Got news for this new generation. Sheeit is and always will be happening. HUMANS will never change. Don’t undervalue real men cause we will remember how we were treated.

this is a question that should be asked to people who are not already fans of the sport like most of us are already

I love MMA and Boxing, long time fan of both so in my little Special World, those sports are extremely Popular in my Little Bubble but to the rest of the world yeah does seem like most just simply don't care
