It would be a very ****** move by Bivol to go down in weight, when Canelo is more than willing to go back to light heavyweight just for him.

Did he not see Chad Dawson get beaten up by Andre Ward? He should check that.

I’m not sure what’s funny about that. But let’s go with your logic …. Can Canelo go down to 160 to fight Charlo? The answer is no, it’s the reason he moved to 160 then 168 because he couldn’t make weight.
By your logic again, Bivol should move to Cruiser weight instead of draining himself to drop to 168. Amiright?

        Neither scenario will ever happen

If Bivol will win at 168 then he should definitely do it. If he will lose at 168 then he definitely should not do it.

Its nice to see Bivol get talked about now. He should stay at 175 become undisputed and rack up some defenses. Canelo is irrelevant if Dimtri can handle business at 175. Also Canelo needs to stay away from this rematch. Bivol was trying to win a point decision last fight, the strategy will probably change in a rematch and Bivol will probably win a more aggressive fight.

This would be a foolish boxing decision, but a good business one.

Bivol gets murked by Canelo at 168

Would be dumb on Bivol's part since he already has the W over Canelo. Stay and win again at 175, no need to drop down.

But the issue he has? Is that at 175 pounds he is facing fighters he no longer is stronger than.

Alvarez most of his career, has played the big man on fight night. I don't think he has constantly fought outside his best weight class to chase greatness.

Alvarez's fight vs Bivol was the first time he has fought, a optimally prepared 175 pound fighter.

Kovalev was not given enough time to prepare for Alvarez. Only approximately 6 weeks preparation, the turnaround was too quick after a 11 round competitive fight vs Yarde etc.

I agree, but as I mentioned before, this is something Bivol and his team are insisting on, not Canelo and/or Hearn.
