    Teofimo Lopez apparently believes boxing politics may get in the way of a fight with Regis Prograis. In a tweet posted on Friday, Lopez, the former unified lightweight champion and current junior welterweight contender, seemed to make the argument that WBC 140-pound champion Regis Prograis is banned from fighting in the United States because of his promotional affiliations.

              Yes, ca. 600 people were banned from entering the US due to links to "Dan the man". Among them Fury, Taylor, Conlan & Co.
              But all these people are foreigners, not US citizens.
              Someone needs to tell biatch Lopez that Regis is a US citizen.

                  That 65-35 figure was actually negotiated down by Top Rank from 70-30, the standard WBC purse split for mandated title fights.
                  Except if the challenger is Hearn's fighter? Or just Dillian Whyte?

                      Lol. Prograis' last fight was in LA and Lopez is his mandatory. No reason this fight shouldn't happen. All these quotes just sound like Lopez tryna throw out any excuse he can find to avoid fighting him and make it look like it has nothing to do with him not wanting to fight him. Prograis is serious business and these guys know it.

                                      Yes, exactly this! Lopez doesn't want the fight, even on a 65/35 split.
