I thought Ellis clearly banked 8 rounds maybe 9. You can't repeatedly retreat against a pressure fighter though if you don't have the power to drop him or at least land head snapping shots. To judges ringside it likely looks like running.

Ellis should have also come in shape for 12 rounds and instead of complaining about low blows he should have returned the favor.
