There are a lot of fighters (and managers/promoters) who seem to believe that if a fighter can get a paper title and remain unbeaten for years, he'll become a big star. So they duck and lie to the media/fans and try to 'play the game'. I hope Andrade's waste of a career at least shows that approach so often backfires and encourages the next generation to take more risks. This guy is 35 next month, has no belt and is currently an undercard fighter.

First of all, Canelo is entitled to an easy fight coming off surgery. It's not like he hasn't given the fans plenty of fights against tough opponents throughout his career.

Second, Ryder stepped in and beat Zach Parker which is something Andrade couldn't or wouldn't do.

Third, who is Andrade fighting next? Exactly.

And Ryder is far from “easy” anyway. He’s the #3 ranked 168 fighter by The Ring. This absolutely won’t be an easy fight for Canelo by any means. It’s gonna go 12 and it’s going to be competitive. Canelo will have to earn that win in a hard fought match.

Andrade on the other hand, there’s not much to say about who he fought last or who he’s fighting next. A totally irrelevant fighters fighting other irrelevant fighters. The guy can’t even fight guys who are moderately relevant. He has to absolutely fight the richest fighters on Earth or else he throws a tantrum. No concept of building his name.

In all fairness to Andrade, none of the big names want to fight him. Why ? Andrade can’t get a meaningful fight and neither can charlo, that is the fight that makes the most sense at this point.

Alvarez is coming off of hand surgery...what do you want him to do, fight a killer. He deserves a gimme fight and Ryder is no cab driver.

Spence came out of surgery for a broken orbital bone, eye surgery, and fought against a champion for his strap in his first fight back. I expect Cinnabon to do exactly what he and Fast Eddie want to do, as usual.
