And as far as tuneups go Ryder isn't bad. He's the WBO mandatory at 168 lbs.

Actually, I'd say Andrade did his Clubber Lang thing. But I must point out, I'm surprised that Canelo who usually takes exception to fighters being rude to him, hasn't taken on Andrade just to punish him and shut his mouth. There just might be something to what Demetrius is saying here.SUBZER0ED likes this.

Otherwise neither is bringing anything to the table for Canelo. Canelo shouldn't be called out for fighting Ryder. After all, even Mayweather fought B level fighters like Berto, Maidana, Ortiz and Guerrero.

A lot of people are missing the point here.
Its not all about resumes folks. That’s not the only thing at play when it comes to making a boxing match. Think outside the box for a second.
Demetrius Andrade is a skilled boxer, has been impressive thus far against who he’s beaten. Is a belt holder. Is undefeated. He has passed the eyeball test thus far.
Why wouldn’t you want to see Canelo challenge himself against someone like that? There’s no reason why not. None.Rebelrbg likes this.

Second, Ryder stepped in and beat Zach Parker which is something Andrade couldn't or wouldn't do.
Third, who is Andrade fighting next? Exactly.

He pulled out of the fight due to a shoulder injury, and they were supposed to reschedule after he was cleared medically. The second one came after he dropped his belt and officially moved up, after he refused the Janibek fight. But, Warren won the purse bid, because no one else offered a bid, for a ridiculously low amount.
I’m not a fan of Canelo-Ryder either but Andrade is in no position to criticise it as he’s the one who ducked Parker, which allowed Ryder to put himself in position for a Canelo payday.Rebelrbg likes this.
