So Crawford was supposed to continue playing the PBC/Spence games and wait until March to fight when everything was originally set up for November? I applaud Bud for making a boss move. He got a fight in before the end of 2022 against a Top 10 contender, looked spectacular, and Spence and his man fans are mad that he got paid so well.

Derrick James sounds like someone with severe brain damage. The things that come out of his mouth sound like the ramblings of a man with an IQ of 47 whose brain is in a vegetative state.

Spence is now up Schitz Creek without a paddle. He has three belts he will eventually have to defend or be stripped. He hasn't made a mandatory defense in over two years. Crawford can and should wait this clown out.

James is clueless. Crawford-Spencer is big already. Spencer admits it is his biggest money fight. If they’re waiting for it to be Mayweather-Pacquiao big then they are the ones not living in reality as that will never happen. Secondly, Crawford was not offered any money, so talking about numbers is irrelevant. Unless he means Crawford should have accepted the lack of transparency, which is asinine.

If Crawford saying he was at no point offered any money is true, then showtime by that point in the year probably had no money, which is why basically no one fought the rest of the year and why Crawford felt they were stalling him to drag it into next year. I don’t think they ever wanted it to be honest. Same time this year (2023), they’re likely to be in the same position. Spence-Crawford should get on BLK, Showtime and their broke ass can play ball as co-broadcaster’s if they want a cut of the pie.

Vergil Ortiz is the #1 ranked contender by the WBO, not Boots, Boots, Boots. Get your facts straight. Avanesyan was ranked 6th (8th by Ring and 9th by TBRB), so it's not like Crawford picked a bum.

And while a fight against Ennis (who I really like, too) would be a great fight, Bud would stomp Vergil, in my opinion. And the Ortiz fight hasn't been mandated yet, hence no duck.

I agree. I think Showtime and Al both ran out of money. Remember when Mike Coppinger said the fight was definitely signed for November? That was all a ruse because Al's hedge fund money ran dry. The same reason why Benavidez-Plant and Tank-Garcia haven't been officially announced yet -- that hedge fund money didn't hit yet. This is the part the Spence man fans refuse to accept.

Crawford should pull another boss move and just go ahead and fight either Boots, Ortiz Jr. or Speedy Ellis. Stay busy while Spence crashes all of his vehicles.

Crawford has PTSD from Top Rank! Now he wants "full" transparency, because he doesn't trust anyone! It's understandable, but at the same time Arum and Haymon have been around for a while, and they know the market, and the market is nowhere near the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao market. It's not even near Mayweather vs. Canelo! I think Spence understands that, but unfortunately Bud doesn't!

Anyway, I hope Spence "sticks to his guns," and chooses Boots over Thurman! Spence vs. Ennis is probably just as good as Spence vs. Crawford, and Boots won't be asking for $10 Million, he just wants a shot at the title, and opportunity to show that he's on the same level as Spence and Crawford!

I've been saying the same thing about PBC's apparent lack of dough. They have one money fight officially scheduled and it's for a known PPV (and gate) draw in Tank, though I've never shelled out a penny for a fight of his and I don't plan to. Maybe after he gets out of jail.
