No, he doesn’t. Terence “TBE” Crawford is P4P #1 and the biggest PPV draw in boxing history. He should get the lion share of the split and dictate all the terms.

They won't listen. They don't understand the BUSINESS of boxing.Exactly what I said. "Yesterday's price is not today's price". Business 101 that's lost on too many financial illiterate people on this forum. This is strictly about the business side of boxing.
When you take your car to Carmax to get a trade in estimate, you have 7 days to accept their offer. The offer will only ever go down after that.
What makes anyone think that a fight promoter dealing in MILLIONS would be any different?
In their minds, Haymon should be a charity.Comment

Crawford has never been a PPV attraction so nothing changed at all. He did however get a devastating KO which did nothing but help build a fight with Spence once again.Comment

A bare knuckle knockout with sketchy gloves that has an open complaint case.
No. It hurt leverage.Comment

No, it really didn't. Take the fanboy glasses off and see it for what it is. Absolutely nothing changed after that fight. They still need each other to make the biggest fight in boxing.Comment

I like James as a trainer but he needs to keep his mouth on lockdown, sounds as ****** as Shields calling Andrade a nobody with a 10 million offer on the table and a 10 yr feud. People are tired of the narratives. Make the fight or run your boy up to 154 with Danny GarciaComment

I wish you would explain to us why you are on a boxing group whilst seemingly incapable of reading articles.
Explain to us all how he has less leverage.
The fact that Spence side don't want the fight is the reason you won't see it. If they wanted it, they'd be saying lets get the talk stated again and make the fight, not making up excuses why the fight probably won't happen.
My judgment doesn’t mean anything and even if it did I’m not the one running my mouth about leverage. That was James.
I just said because of all this, I don’t see the fight happening. I’m frankly getting sick of all this leverage bs killing fights in boxing.Comment

Knowingly squandering $10 million on a guy they knew wasn’t going to cover that much back, or make any profit whatsoever, versus an unknown no-hoper, screams of a cover up for something else. But that’s all just speculation. Just saying, I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys are investigated some day.
This guy can’t sell even with moderately known names, and you’re going to guarantee him $10 million?
It doesn’t even matter if the PPV was $40. The PPV could have been $10. Nobody likes paying for Crawford fights because his opponents usually are mediocre or just suck. He has that reputation now for a while, and no amount of discount is gonna make fans buy his crap.
Crawford couldn’t sell fans on his BS matches even if HE was paying them all $40 bucks each to watch.Comment

The flaw in your reply is, I go based on the BUSINESS of boxing, which you keep ignoring.
In the BUSINESS of boxing, people watched this guy get a guaranteed $10 million to hit some defenseless guy with sketchy gloves and get a complaint filed, meanwhile he sued his last promoter who was also overpaying him. Meanwhile he barely drew 5k.
Derrick James is telling you the truth. He doesn't get the BUSINESS of boxing, and neither do you.
Spence could fight Vergil Ortiz and get way more support from fans, because Ortiz draws money.Comment

The fight is right there to be made: $25 million guaranteed and 20% backend money. All Spence has to do is say yes and show up to the fight.Comment
