Argentina 60% inflation. I don't think he had income and investments external to Argentina like Gaby Sabatini. Maybe he could fight GGG now.

What in the steroids is a 47 year old Martinez gunna do? Lol

On the real, he should call it a day. Boxing isn't a friendly sport for older fighters

I hear you brother, but Martinez just doesn't possess that one punch knockout power that old George Foreman, probably still has.

Maybe, and I stress Maybe, if it was the Martinez who was on top of his game when he was the 154 pound champion.
Taking into consideration the Martinez of today's skill level, and Golovkin's current skill level, and the opponent's that they are facing.
There's just no comparison, or competition Golovkin win's hand's down, and that's acknowledging that their both past their primes.
That said Golovkin has a lot more left in his gas tank than Martinez does, at this point in time of their prospective career's.

I am the OG Martinez fan of Boxingscene - I registered here to ask about his next fight in my first post many many years ago when he was a nobody.

In Boxing, everything comes from the legs, and Martinez ain't got none left. He should be taking a page from Mayweather and be fighting out of a wide stance for more stability and use his upper body for his movement, but he isn't doing that - he's still trying to fight in his old style.

There are flashes of the old Sergio... jab is still heavy and sharp.... but he's going to get knocked clean out by anyone decent.

If he insists on continuing.... maybe fight Lemeiux or Rosado.

He’s a sitting duck now IMO. What made Martinez great was his speed and movement, his hands and still quite fast but his knees are f***ed.

Sturm is still fighting I believe. I wouldn’t mind that fight. Only 10 years too late.

GGG is washed but he’d comfortably stop this version of Martinez inside 6. Watch his fight with Brian Rose if you don’t believe me.
                  I watched them.

I also watched Golovkin look like an old man trying to defend his pension while Canelo teed off on him in the third fight. So

If it's really about $ hes going about it the wrong way. Dude can box a youtuber or an old UFC fighter on BKFC for a million+ payday I'm sure.

Maybe he's chasing a Jake Paul fight? I'd be ok with that as he's obviously broke.

Apart from that, how on earth is anybody sanctioning this guy, let alone ranking him (WBA at number 3 crazy).
