I don’t like to go into fighters finances but I can tell you for a fact Andrade would have earned a lot more than 150k. He just didn’t want the fight plain and simple.

Over price something and nobody makes offers. You lower the price and everyone still stays away because they think you're too greedy. Similar to the housing market. Economics.
Add to this a strong desire to keep your 0. Andrade will probably go down as an example to other fighters that won't take a risk to be great.

Ryder made a well deserved $400k from the Parker fight. Ryder deserved the $1.2m tho. $150k for Andrade sounds about right. That’s about what he’s made himself worth.

This is the guy that was crying about how Erislandy Lara was too boring to fight, wanted more money to fight Charlo so he pulled out weeks before the fight. And now he’s basically still too cool to fight anyone at all. He feels he’s entitled to big names without having put any work in.

I mean his next fight says it all: 35 years old, fighting an unknown on the undercard of a moderately popular PPV.

if he gets the fights with his contemporaries at pbc, none of this matters. regardless if had taken the zero purse warren or the original, canelo was not going to fight him. this has been going on for 3 divisions. just fight the pbc guys.

154 - Canelo fought Lame Smith for WBO, wouldn't touch it when Andrade had it. In fact Canelo said I don't fight for belts, I fight for pride when Andrade had the belt. Can't make this stuff up.
160 - Canelo went to the other side of the street to fight Sweet Cheeks for undisputed when he just had to collect the WBO on DAZN from Andrade. Rigged cards so I still don't see why he didn't take the fight
