There was a purse bid for the fight. We saw the amount that was bid. It was ridiculously low.
You really think that’s all fighters get paid?

Do some research on how the business works kid.

Andrade got offered a lot more prior to the fight even going to purse bids too.

The event was going to be promoted by Quensberry. Instead they did the Parker-Ryder fight at the O2.

Andrade needs to sometimes take a paycut in order to line up better opportunities.
He's past his prime, No belt anymore, No known name in his record, and up until recently, no promoter.

I mean look at Vergil Ortiz. He's willing to take only 35% of the purse against Stanoinis because he knows if he wins, he will have better opportunities in the future.
Andrade can't even sell out a small arena in his home town. Now he is resorting to fighting another no-name fighter, on a 10 round bout on a freaking UNDERCARD!

Bruh don't tell me jack about Canelo.

Canelo was champion at 154lbs and Canelo refused to fight him and said he was not interested in belts. Soon as Andrade was stripped and Liam Smith had the belt, Canelo moved back down to fight for the belt.

At 160lbs he only needed the wbo that Andrade held to be undisputed. But rather than fight Andrade, Canelo chose to moce up and go on a Euro bum of the month tour to get undisputed instead of fighting Andrade for the single remaining belt.

So no, don't tell me about mandatories and shots at Canelo because we all know that is bs. This the same guy who threw his belt on the bin to avoid Charlo.

Give us all a break with that bs.

Andrade is a duck, I know, he ducked a lot of guys (Jermell Charlo, Erislandy Lara, Derevyanchenko, Jermall Charlo, and Janibek), but he did not duck Parker and Canelo get defaq outta here with that bs.

Canelo has avoided fighting Andrade for every reason known to man. I think he is afraid of the uncertainty an Andrade fight would present. Imagine if Andrade wins .... he becomes this generation's undefeated (with an asterisk) pro who also DEFEATED Canelo. Heady stuff. I think Canelo is intimidated by the possibilities that aren't in his favor.

Say whatever you want about Andrade .... no one has beat him. Kick his butt or shut up.

And Queensberry bid like 300k for Andrade vs Ryder. Do you think Warren or anyone else was forking a second check to Andrade?

Hell, Ramirez, whose signed to TR and is more popular than Andrade, doesn't seem confident that TR would hand him a "second" check to face Regis.

Tbh, by the time it went to bids it was never happening and that’s why the second purse bid was essentially a non-event. Had Andrade actually taken this fight he would have earned a lot more than 150k though.

I hear you! That being said why didn't they juat postpone the first scheduled fight (when Matchroom won the bid) after Andrade got injured?

Why didn't you fight Alimkhanuly then, Demetrius?

You seem to find every possible reason NOT to make meaningful fights.
