Pac/Cotto has not sold out. Even Bob Arum said that a few days ago in his column in the Las Vegas paper. But, since both of these guys are supposedly bigger draws than Mayweather, that fight should have sold out in two hours, like Mayweather/De La Hoya or in 30 minutes like Mayweather/Hatton.

I said it several months ago and I will say it again. I am certain that Floyd/Marquez will sell more PPV than Pac/Cotto. After the fight in November I will come back on this site to say "I told you so" to the haters.

And if he beats Mosley, will you not consider that a step up because Mosley was over the hill (not now, but he will suddenly be after the Mayweather fight)?

If you look at Mayweather's last five opponents, including Marquez, and compare it to Cotto's, Pac's or Shane Mosley's last five, an objective observer will see that Mayweather has fought higher rated competition (based on the Pound-for-Pound and division ratings) than all of these guys. The only boxer whose resume over his last five fights compares to Mayweather is....wait for it haters.......Juan Manuel Marquez!!!
Don't be one of those guys! And by those guys, I mean ones that live with built in excuses! And that no matter Floyd does people will hate! Guess what? They probably will, but those people r idiots and should just be ignored! Reasonable men like myself will begin to respect not just his skill plus his heart! I don't care about ppv numbers or saction body rankings or even beltholders half the time! Have you looked at the rankings of some these organizations? Their a joke! No what matters top guys, and we all know who they are! It's like the elephant in the room! Fight one! Anyone and REASONABLE fans will shut up and appreciate! The haters! Let them hate because they will never be satisfied! Until then you stop living in the world of make believe! And let you treasured fighter, fight a man that won't give up height, weight, reach, speed and power! And do some research, floyd's resume is trash over his last five fights! Marquez was a lamb to slaughter! A great fighter at 130 or 135! Not 142! Oscar, was a 1 point decision win! Far from impressive! Hatton, don't get me started, all hype and no substance! his fan base is his sole purpose of success! Great guy but not very skilled! Was granted a couple gift decisions(collazo, certaily) then what? Baldomir? Yeah, he'll go down as a ww great! Just be reasonable! Instead of blindly defending! Just ask more if your beloved champ

The Public/Boxing fans expected way less.
There's no need to be an apologist for Mayweather vs Marquez piss poor ticket numbers. Marquez by virtue of his Mexicans fans carried this fight. Mayweather is based in Las Vegas, his own home turf and still could not put butts in seats. There's no need to come to Mayweather's defense. It is what it is. Mayweather never has been nor will he ever be a major draw.

For this reason, Mayweather will get the smaller piece of the pie IF he meets Pacquaio or Cotto for that matter.

this article don't mean ****??..ah,yeah it does, mayweather brags about how he is the one putting butts in the arena,,no man,it's not floyd, like roach said,80% were marqeuz followers, where were floyds followers, the guy don't sell,,,it matters now because manny's fight sold well,so whoever wins there, should get the most money, floyd now has absolutely no excuses about the monye issue,if he does he's using it as an excuse to not fight cotto, who i think will beat small manny like floyd beat small jmm,he should be embarrased about that tainted vicotory in my opinion..unitl he beats a legit welterweight i'll call him good
