Benavidez is bigger, faster, more powerful than Bivol and far more aggressive. Canelo chose the guy that 95% of people thought he could beat. That is obviously not choosing the toughest option. 95% of people would not pick Canelo over Benavidez. That proves my point, that Bivol was the softest option.

95% of people are casuals. benevidez is a bum who has no discipline. Canelo would ahve already fought him if he could hold on to a belt for more than a week. Benevidez is wide open and has tons of opportunities to counter. Bivol keeps his defense tight. Bivol is a far harder nut to crack, benevidez is there to be hit.

Watch the interview. Hearn literally said to Bivol's face that the only reason Canelo fought him is because there gas nothing in Bivol's last two fights that showed Bivol could do that to Canelo. Bivol agreed saying if not for his performance those last two fights Canelo would never even fight him
