Mental health is a real issue for many but it’s tough to believe Ryan Garcia using it as a legitimate reason to back out of a fight because he’s like the boy who cried wolf. It’s just one of many reasons he’s used to back out of fights so of course nobody is going to take him seriously.

Everyone knows Garcia lied about his “mental health” break…. Dude was in the club and on social media the entire time when social media is the most toxic thing in society for your mental healthComment

Mental health issues are real and anybody can suffer from them. They are also often related with drugs and alcohol.
It's sad how it has become a trend to have as many diagnoses as possible so you can have excuse for your own laziness. People today want all the attention in social media and what is better way than have "mental health issues"? You get attention and sympathy.
Ryan is young, rich and famous social media star/boxer. I don't accuse him of anything but it's easy to see why people don't believe him.
Training is best medicine for these problems and that's a fact.Comment

I agree to a certain degree with Tank. Todays young people just aren’t as mentally strong as their grandparents for what ever reason but I think Tank is NO DIFFERENT than anyone other boxer he’s talking about. Instead of choking Tank just takes another NON THREATENING SAFE FIGHT. He’s not one to talk about this stuff. He should have fought Loma years ago but instead pillow hands Haney is fighting Loma. I think Haney will of course due to youth. Tank STILL knows better to fight Loma. Old old Loma will STILL tap dat assss. Yea, I said it.
Loma is at home on the INSIDE where Tank is most comfortable but not near as efficient.Last edited by MONGOOSE66; 12-26-2022, 10:07 AM.Comment

I agree with Tank about some fighters using it as an excuse.
But I also agree with Ryan that Tank has low IQ.Comment

Everyone here has pretty much nailed it. Nobody is writing mental illness isn't a legitimate thing, take a walk down to the skid row of a major city just to see for yourself, rather that we are expected to treat all mental illness the same. Whether a major issue or minor, as soon as someone claims mental illness it is treated as a major problem (partly due to the relative unknown and newness of the field, partly due to the psychological industrial complex justifying its own importance).
Consider it in the light of other medical issues: a broken arm is a major issue, we wouldn't expect someone to fight with that injury, a bruised arm is minor we would expect someone to continue. We don't treat them the same because there are varying degrees. With mental health though we, in the public, are asked to treat all things as equal, ergo all things are major.Comment
