That's how I saw the fight going too, when it was first announced. But now will Benavidez have the footwork to cut off the ring, in a 22 ft. ring? He doesn't have the fastest feet.
I can't say I'm surprised bro, the issue plant will have is not having the gastank to move all 12 rounds, From the accumulative effect of being punched and drained by the front foot pressure of David. Can he avoid those 50/50 exchanges late on and once those feet slow will he be a sitting duck? I think the fight will then resemble rounds 10 + 11 of the canelo fight.
This has introduced some doubt in my mind.

More than confident caleb will give DB a run for his money...and the toughest fight of his career so far. That been said, i will also be extremely impressed if benavidez makes easy work of sweet cheeks.Comment

Crazy bro. Yeah usually once kids hit puberty and start putting on some muscle, usually that age. 14 or 15 yrs old, they’re basically no longer kids. They’re young men. Literally they’re not kids. Their bodies change.

I notice a lot of times, around 130’s or 140’s, that’s the weight where you start to feel power on the punches. So if you got a mid teens young man around that weight, it can be scary if they know what they’re doing. Their muscles are young and fresh and they’re only gonna get bigger and stronger.
You can outlast them though cuz they get too excited and waste their energy early, but man. Early on, they’re a tough out.
I spar a 16 yr old heavyweight and I can tire him out with a high work rate, but he always leaves a mark on me somewhere and his shear size tires me out too.Comment

Thanks for that clip, incredible how poised, strong and quick he was there at 14-15yrs old. Reminiscent of the sparring footage/performance of Oscar sparring Chavez Sr at the same age.

Wow, young DB had no issue with firing back right after getting tagged by KP! That showed he had a lot of moxy even at a young age.

That's a good point you made. Around that age lots of changes happen to the body some beneficial some not. I think it's crazy David was around all of that at 15 and could perform like that. Really puts into perspective his ability to work.
