No, I disagree. He is copping out. This is for a title shot. He is hiding behind economics to price himself out in order to avoid an ass whupping from Regis Prograis. What makes it worse is that this is not the only time he has ducked "Rougarou" either. He ducked him at the World Boxing Super Series tournament too.

I like both fighters but this whole Ramirez is so popular point is exaggerated. He does well locally. He’s not filling seats in Vegas, NY, or even Texas. If they really wanted the fight it would’ve gotten done. Would be a good scrap

I agree to a certain extent. Their previous history is what has made Ramirez look bad in this situation. Stated in another comment, I believe Prograis handles Ramirez in a tough fight. Might as well try to get as much as he can at the negotiating table. If he can take another route with less risk and still make good bread, that's on him. Just know the backlash that's gonna come with it.

It gets summed up in one picture.

I've always thought that Mexican and Mexican American fighters don't fuck around but obviously this guy missed the memo.
Well Munguia didn't get that memo either. I never seen Mexican fighters avoid fights until now.

So just take the fight and make back your money in the trilogy. What’s the big deal? Quit always buying into the bullsheeit of your worth. Your overpaid as it is. If your really that good, just beat him. The money will come. Quit being like all these other primadonnas.

Ramirez had no problem with a purse split when he was the champion. He knows that Prograis can easily beat his slow ass
