  • Comments Thread For: Warren, Arum Doubt a Fury vs. Usyk Rematch Would Have All The Belts at Stake

It is rare that an undisputed champion wins all the belts and holds them long due to all the mandatory obligations. Unless you bring that Canelo money to the table, can't hold it against the fighter if they dump some of them for a more favorable position. It's a business first.

It is doubtful that the title of this article would include all the words it needs.

The winner of the fight is undisputed so the belts don't really matter. Anyone who wins a belt without beating the winner of Fury vs Usyk is just a paper or email champ in my eyes.

We all know about Eddie and the rematch clause scam and Warren or Any one else should not a be allowed to get away with it as it is only stopping someone else getting an opportunity whilst the promoters and fighters are guaranteed another bumper payday whatever. IF like Warren says there is a accidental cut or a twisted ankle or something of the sort then there needs to be a rematch and effect that clause BUT if a result is clear then move on and let someone else have a pop. We all know Hearns rematch clause mentality you have to beat his fighter twice and if you do he wants you tied up to his contract and you only need look as far as Lawrence Okolie to know that there are better contracts than his. This rematch clause is mostly a scam and should be looked in to!

I see the possibility of JJ and AJ (and possibly Wilder) colliding for a piece of hw crown, after the unification.

I’m glad boxing is such a clean, legitimate sport.

Don't have a rematch clause, then.
