It's not easy or advisable to try and hit Cotto to the body. His counter lefthook will take Pac's head off. Cotto did not go to Margo's body because he feared the counter-uppercut from a longer/taller fighter. Margarito hit Cotto all night to the body because he didn't care about return fire.

Cotto just needs to work on defending the uppercut up the middle from Pac.

Yeah right, I would pay to see him commited to Cotto's body. That sounds like a lot of BS to me. By the way the worst punch Cotto had against Margo was when he got his nose broken by a punch. Dr. Doom tagged that body all night and then destroyed the head. Not a lot of opponents have targeted Cotto's body in the past because they are afraid of getting hit back by one of Cotto's lefts.

I noticed that Roach has Manny working on uppercuts alot for this fight also. I would say the uppercut from the southpaw stance is something Freddie seen in the Judah fight cos Manny is flat out throwing uppercuts on the pads.

Cotto has a high guard, so Pacquiao's quick shots to the body could very well land. just has to watch out for the counter shots, because Cotto knows how to deal with a speedy southpaw at this point. smart strategy. Pacquiao did hurt Morales to the body in the first round in their 1st fight and all in all has solid body punching, he used it in the DLH fight too to great effect. Hes no stranger to the body punching game.

Pacquiao never has really had much of an uppercut. Itll be interesting to see if he can add it to his arsenal. better not try to throw it from too far away like most his other punches though, because that screams Cotto countershot.

This is true, Cotto takes a lot of uppercuts his major weakness(dont' think he met an uppercut that he didn't like) alongside with straight right hands. But you have to get close and take the incomming to land those upper cuts.
