RIP Steve, one of the best referees I can remember.

He was a good example of a ref who didn’t “over ref.”

He actually took a backseat and that’s why he was referee in a lot of good bouts.

My favorite ref. He let inside fighters fight inside without meddling. He also deeply cared about fighters but had an innate sense of when a guy was in danger or just hurt and could recover.

You knew Double S never would interfere with a quality fight. He let fighters do their thing. I also loved how he often kissed losing fighters on the cheek, explaining to them he was trying to protect them when he stopped their fights.

Rest in power.

One of the best, if either guy wanted to fight on the inside he's let them.

Maybe because Bayliss could learn a few things from a guy like Smoger.
I alwayed liked Smoger. You can tell he’s an actual fight fan and he got to be right there in the middle of it. God bless your soul.

Obviously somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Doesn't matter if I spelt his name correctly or incorrectly, he is still a horrible referee and you thinking otherwise (I can tell by your moniker) or directing foul language when none was directed towards you need some serious help. Anger management classes are available or if you are advanced, just see a shrink asap lol
