Nice. Most people ignore that fight, pretend as if it never happened. Ponce De Leon was the playbook, Maidana had the size to carry it out to a point where he could not be robbed. After that Broner never looked confident again. He pretends, decent game face clowns around a bit still but when a fight breaks out he breaks as well.

The annoying thing was not so much how he tried the shoulder roll but when he grabbed Perez' throat right after Mayweather grabbed Ortiz' throat to try to further imitate Mayweather. Long ago I heard from a reliable source at the time that Broner was top in his high school class which now seems a little hard to believe.
I was thinking the same thing when he grab his throat but it didn’t come natural, he forced it. Brotha was trying to hard to be like Floyd. He even tried to stutter like Floyd.

This guy and Madonna use the same trick, do and say outrageous things in a effort to stay relevant. It does work to a certain degree, Broner usually gets the most responses in the comment section.Comment

Now ask yourself why that is? It's because he could never leave the hood. At some point in his life he tried to leave the hood but the hood never left him. Boxing was never his true calling in life but the hood was. That's the reason why he was never great.Comment
