Martin clearly has talent and is well trained. I didn’t see it going this way but you could see the difference early on. Martin is a complete fighter. I predicted Shiskin and Martin would win their fights, so I'm happy to have seen them both dominate their opponents. Rivera looked almost old in there. I expected Martin to win but didn't expect him to totally dominate in that fashion.

I actually thought Martin might stop Rivera, so I'm not surprised about the outcome. Hopefully Rivera won't take this loss too bad. It must be hard to take an L in a fight like this and see other fighters refusing to risk theirs.

Martin showed that he has more levels to his game. Rivera never stopped trying to win but could not adjust throughout the fight. Rivera will still be a handful for top LW, he needs to make some adjustments.

Rivera was so far out of his league I started to feel embarrassed for him. He looked completely lost and could barely lay a glove on Martin. Definitely needs to let the Ali gimmick go after that one.

Martin looked excellent. 135 just got deeper. Hopefully these networks and promoters will act like grown-ups and make the big fights. Half of the money is better than none of the money.
