  • Martin can play it safe in the 12th , and he wins 10-2/9-3.

I know Rivera hasn’t been impressive tonight, but don’t be too aggressive

    • I wish Martin would go for the kill but other than that he completely outclassed Rivera this entire fight. 9-2 Martin with a KD.

      • Both fighters are going all out, La Zarza is desperate like a cornered animal.

        • Rivera was aggressive this round but was just simply outclassed as he was getting countered with every shot. (11-1 Martin)

              • Haymon, Spence, Kenny Bayless, & the judges all in his corner, Martin decided to go out dominant Rivera who will now be considered a “bum” by 95% of Boxingscene.

Respect for stepping up to fight a undefeated contender to make a name for yourself.

Props to Rivera as well, just got outclassed by a better fighter tonight. He’s young & will improve, I’ll be rooting for him.

                  • I really like watching Frank Martin fight.

He started the year fighting on the Jan. 1 heavyweight card (headlined by Luis Ortiz-Charles Martin) as the only non-heavyweight to compete on the televised show. And he closed the year in the the main event of the last Showtime card of the year.

He became a top lightweight contender this year.

Can't wait to see him in the ring with guys like Shakur Stevenson, Gervonta Davis, etc., in the years to come.
