This wasn't Crawfords fault it was the commissions fault and they should've made him take off the gloves and put on the secondary pair that are required. I don't think it had much of a difference on the outcome of the fight and definitely wasn't in a location where it would increase his punching power, if anything a thumb in the eye but that wasn't the case. Crawford been knocking out people with the Everlast MX gloves for a while this pair just happened to be defective as stated by Everlast. I personally like the Everlast MX but I have noticed a lot of fighters getting hand injuries in them probably more than Cleto Reyes. In my opinion the best gloves are Grant, they are still made in Mexico and have horse hair but they are a hybrid.

I believe it was Robert Garcia that mentioned when wrapping fighters hands the commission didn't even come in and check like they are supposed to, but I seriously doubt Crawford would need special help against Avaneysan everyone knew how this fight was going to play out from the start.

If he ain’t knock him out that round no one would care. Seems like dud knew the glove change was otw and knew he had to close the show before he had to take the gloves off and put on actual new ones not his faded worn gym gloves lol. Ya but the fact he waited till he was warned those gloves were coming off then all of a sudden he knocks him out. It’s beyond suspect even if everything was legit the glove question makes it all moot. Can’t even really be debated. Would he have KOd him anyways? I think so…but no one knows cause that’s not what happened. Avensyan wasn’t getting destroyed dud hadn’t done **** and he was actually taking a lot of punches his face was black and blue post fight. It’s just suspect whether or not it’s a legit KO isn’t a debate because it wasn’t. Like why wouldn’t dud just wait till next round? Do that eliminate all questions get them KO anyways? The ref did exactly what she was supposed to do but once again corruption took precedent and if she didn’t they definitely would’ve made her the scapegoat….if it was the other way around at the very least Avaneysan would’ve had to change gloves and if he couldn’t he would’ve been disqualified….how do you brag about the money you’re making and have a sh&$!y pair of gloves??? In my opinion the gloves just busted from the thumb part during the fight due to the malfunction.

So are you saying that Crawford knew his gloves were coming apart before he even entered the ring and then once they tore he told the commission he wasn't going to change them? I'm just asking because I didn't see him arguing about it the ref showed the commission and they did nothing, the blame should fall on them not Crawford.

The question to ask is why would Crawford jeopardize his legacy as well as another big potential payday by tampering his gloves for a fight against someone like Avanesyan? The left glove had a split at the stitching along the side and the right glove had a bust at the stitching on the top of the thumb, I saw the fight the knuckle area didn't look manipulated but show me a picture that proves otherwise.
