These were the Everlast MX gloves that Floyd’s team did not allow Maidana to wear. Punchers gloves with the padding distributed mostly to the back of the hand. I doubt the B side could force a change in gloves if they wanted too during selection.

An official complaint has been filed with the Nebraska Athletic Commission (NAC) on behalf of Avanesyan, addressing the manner in which Terence 'Bud' Crawford was permitted to continue with a pair of defective boxing gloves during their WBO welterweight title fight. As much as I dislike Crawford (and I used to be a fan), this is just a silly excuse. Avanesyan was NEVER going beat Crawford. Ever.
Of course I am not being dismissive of the glove mishap but to rule this fight NC and then have them fight again is just plain ******.

Man, how unfortunate. I believe Bud stops hin 10/10 but if they were busted open and allowed to finish the round, that isn't right or safe. I don't want to see a NC but if I'm a fighter, these questions have to asked.
No one can say 100% that it was the reason for the ko but that goes both way. If there is doubt and the ref or commission went against the rules, it may be overturned and rightfully so.

Silly excuse? Very sad comment. I'm a Bud fan but no fighter should get an advantage like that. You are being very dismissive of the glove mishap if you don't care if one fighter gets hit with knickles.

I wish his team nothing but good luck with that shit because there's no way in the world that the Nebraska State Athletic Commission is going to overturn their original verdict from a TKO to a no contest. They have a compelling case too. However, Boxing is corrupt as fuck!

Regardless if it was Crawford altering his gloves or Everlast it's all the same those gloves were in no shape or form legal to box in.

This fight needs to be overturned because Avensayan got screwed big time.
