Narvaez was meant meant to be a real test for Inoue back in the day too, having one loss before that which was a decision to Donaire. Inoue walked through him in 2 rounds.

he definitely had fights on the way up that were considered good tests for the stage he was at coming through, and he kept walking through them
And Rodriguez is seriously underrated as a fighter. I mean he beat Moloney, Butler, clearly beat Gaballo IMO, and Russell. That was a huge win for Inoue IMO and one of his most underrated ones

The fight wasn't THAT boring. I swear the haters search with a magnifying glass for something negative to say.

I didn't like how Inoue was showboating though. I think life has some lessons for him that can only be taught through defeat.

Fulton already scheming to move up to featherweight to duck Inoue. Maybe the other guy with belts, Akhmadaliev, will step up to the plate.

3 am here. Butler did great in that matchbox size ring. 15 footer? Do it again in a 20 footer and Inoue never finds him.

He might have gone the distance, that's about it though, I bet he is disappointed he didn't.

Do you know how r e t a r d e d you sound? Ever wonder why fans of other sports laugh at boxing fan so fanatically? Here’s your sign! Ever hear a fan of say Football obsess over say Jerry Jones and then b I t c h about him on end instead of the actual player playing the sport? Or how about Hal Steinbrenner? That worthless bum! Ever wonder why fans of other sports think that half the boxing fan community is unable to comprehend language beyond the 8th grade, think that over half are former felons or live below the spectrum? Your post provides 100% justification for their feelings. Let’s stop being r e t a r d e d and speak more about the FIGHTERS instead of a god damned promotional agency.

Honestly, I was a little impressed with how long Butler lasted with Inoue beating on him that long. Good active defense (by which I mean he was actually moving that high guard around instead of flat shelling, allowing him to deflect a good amount of force), although he was massively outmatched. I think he felt one of those hard shots and went straight into survival mode. I can't really criticize, because looking at his skill set, he did well to last almost 11 rounds, and he had no possible path to victory. He even tried to punch back occasionally but got punished for it. If he'd opened up more, he would have gotten stopped earlier.

Can you imagine being a contender and being told that you're going up against a guy nicknamed "The Monster"? That has to be pretty unnerving and I'm sure some have turned down the opportunity.
