All hail the king of bantamweight! All hail the king of bantamweight!

    I say Kameda or Nery!

Nery. Would have said Tete, but obviously he's (allegedly) just failed a test.

    Then MJ.

It is rumored that Luis Nery is going to fight Azat Hovhannisyan in the Garcia vs Gesta undercard. So he won't be available at least in early 2023. Murodjon Akhmadaliev might also be a good choice considering he holds the WBA and IBF belts. Also feel like Kameda would get blitzed.

I like MJ as the first of the 2 champions.....he's been over on DAZN his last few fights.

MJ has good upperbody movement, legs, and a nice traditional jab. I could see Inoue boxing off the backfoot in that fight.

Kameda would be a good gauge to see how the power translates north! I wouldn't jump directly into a title shot, but if Inoue feels that confident, hell go for it.

Kameda is not really that battle tested but sadly since 122's talent pool is shallow there isn't much options. Either Nery or Azat would be a good choice for Inoue so he have to wait for the winner or go for fighters like Raeese Aleem, Ronny Rios, Lee Mcgregor or Marlon Tapales.

inoue said he wants the winner of fulton/mj
but wouldnt be surprised if those guys never fight

so whoever is willing to go first

i personally dont see the point of a tuneup

he wants all the belts asap

Isn’t it the WBO that put you as an automatic mandatory if you’ve vacated in the division below and moved up? that’s how Usyk got his mandatory shot at Joshua. That’s also the reason Josh Taylor has kept his WBO belt because he’s looking for that Crawford fight if he moves up.

Well, Inoue is in a good position. Fulton can’t avoid him unless he vacates. I don’t know when that mandatory will be due, but that’s the route he should be taking, and he’s either going to get a fight Fulton for two belts, or fight for a vacant belt ,which puts him in a good position anyway.
