Regardless of how fans are currently feeling about Crawford, I think everyone would agree that TC presents a more complex challenge than Stanionis. Ideally, Spence/Crawford/Thurman (the vets) would be facing Ennis/Ortiz/Stanionis (up-and-comers). Unfortunately, boxing rarely works like this.

Nothing against Stan the man but it is difficult to think of what he does better rewatching his bouts against Dulorme and Butaev. They are stylistically similar except Ortiz actually stopped his top opposition and is more technically developed having more fights under his belt.

This will be a fun barn burner as long as it lasts, but I see Stanionis getting stopped at the late rounds like the Mean Machine.
