People talking about the purse and how much Stanionis is going to get. That's the product of the sanctioning bodies and their rules. The other question is why would GB bid this much? And the answer to that is that GB wants to ensure Ortiz gets some sort of shot, he sees that the so-called "best" in the division are avoiding Ortiz and Boots like the plague. So GB is betting on Ortiz to win and force bigger fights. This is a great match up, kudos to Ortiz and GB for making it happen. Can't wait.

This fight should be a 50/50 payday and most fans would not complain if it was 60/40 in favor of Ortiz.
Ortiz is a bigger name and should win this fight.

This is the scenario boxing fans envisioned or hoped for when Crawford-Spence started negotiating. Bud seeking validation for his 5 year run atop the P4P debate taking a smaller cut to the 3 belt holder Spence. It’s just plain leverage.
