Im not a big fan of Lopez, but he deserved the win. Its unfair to downgrade him because he didnt meet expectations. He outlanded, and in most rounds landed better than Martin.

Martin was slick, and had some good counters, but just because he was able to move, and stylistically fight the fight he wanted, doesnt negate Lopez actually landing more and better punches in most rounds

This is the best summary of the fight. martin stunk the fight out but he just didn't land enough and the punches he did land were not significant.

Lopez doesn't even know who he is his dam self. He has personal issues outside the boxing ring that needs to be addressed. Until that happens then expect excuse after excuse and nothing at all good to say about any other boxers accomplishments and upcoming fights. Even his wife can barely stand him

True. Having just watched the fight a lot of Lopez’s limitations are inherent to his style which is full of holes. Which is what I’d imagine you get when you’re trainer is a bum. Like Yarde’s trainer.

Teo hasn’t a single fundamental skill. Doesn’t know how to use a guard at all, doesn’t know how to move his head, has no jab, footwork is ass. All he does is dash at guys completely open and hope they don’t wack him as he’s doing so. Needs to leave his father for a real trainer ASAP, while he’s still young enough to change. And I’d suggest 2-3 tune-up type fights before he tries for the killers.

Martin didn't stink the fight. He has his own style. Maybe if Lopez Learns to cut off the ring, step forward with a jab and go to the body more he would've looked impressive.

I’m surprised at the one-sided comments by boxing fans here about robbery. Really? Check the compubox stats. They don’t lie. Regardless of who you were backing. Lopez was a clear winner but not by a huge margin. He was the effective aggressor, controlled the space, threw more punches and landed more but had to chase Martin all night long. Martin is a spoiler, period. No one is going to look good against him. The knockdown is unfortunate. Teo was leaning in and forward and in that off-balance position, got clipped.

Incidentally, I was shocked Martin beat Mikey. That was almost akin to Bivol beating Canelo and then going on to bearing Ramirez. These tricky, skilful boxer-types are always a handful except Martin doesn’t have Bivol’s work rate/punch output.

That said, while a fan of Lopez, I am not sure he dominates at this weight class.

Why are you completely ignoring the clean second KD that was not called for Martin?
