It's a WW title fight...how many times in the past has a title been at a catchweight? And what if Manny does win? Will he give up the belt to the first challenger or will he finally man up and go to 147 or, as I suspect, will he try to do all fights at a catchweight? ****ing bull****.

No, because a victory would be all the sweeter, not only that but part of what I admire about Cotto is his professionalism. They are not incongruent thoughts. I want Cotto to honor the contract, but I think the contract is bull****.

Pernell whitaker went striaght from lighweight 135lbs, to welterweight 147, so did shane mosley, so why does roach insist on some ****** catch weight stuff, when the welterweight limit is 147?? If he's scared manny will get beat then he should stay at the lower weight classess..

Pac is at his best at 140 and Cotto at 147. If Pac weighed higher, his capabilities could diminish so through with Cotto if he weighed lower than 147. But if they could stretch their best to the limit at 145 without damaging much to the other parties then they could go into a showdown in equal footing, and there's nothing wrong with that. But what I don't understand is, when the 147 WBO belt and whatsoever belt was that, will put on the line. Catchweight under what circumstances should be no belt for this, plain and simple!

Even though I view this fight as Pacquiao being the one taking the challenge and not Cotto because of the fact that Cotto will blow up in weight similar to what Mayweather did, it is a tarnished accomplishment to have a title on the line and a catch weight enforced at the same time. Like history shows, Henry Armstrong always won his titles against guys who were at their best and most comfortable weight. Pacquiao isn't doing that here even though these Cotto stans can't realize that if he doesn't beat Pacquiao, then he lost to a guy who started out his career at Flyweight.

Paul Williams and Shane Mosley are better fighters than Cotto because they are seeking out the best and winning convincingly. Williams is moving up in weight and going after Pavlik who is the Middleweight champ, and Mosley just annhilated the guy who made Cotto submit. Cotto is not looking for a challenge by taking this fight. He is whoring himself to Bob Arum and going after money.

Yeah man but the problem is that how can pac fight dlh at 147, but yet not cotto. That shows me that he has a lot more respect for cotto than he did for dlh! At the same time he wanted them both as drained as much at they would allow it!
