cotto, its your belt that weasled ur way to following pw's departure. So, if u feel comfortable at 147 then do it. WTF are they goin to do? Cancel the fight? Didnt think so. They get all the money so have some juevos and stand up for urself for once.

Pernell whitaker went striaght from lighweight 135lbs, to welterweight 147, so did shane mosley, so why does roach insist on some ****** catch weight stuff, when the welterweight limit is 147?? If he's scared manny will get beat then he should stay at the lower weight classess..

Cotto should weigh in at 147 just to piss Roach off. Cotto would have to pay a few million for doing it but is going to great to see Roach face when he sees it. I think Roach would trie to cancel the fight but Arum would have none of Roach ****.

Cotto didn't want to defend the title, so I won't totally rule out him doing what Floyd did. But he strikes me as someone with a little more class, so I'd have to say no. I think Cotto should beat Manny because he has the tools to do it. He has a good jab and good boxing skills on top of his power. Manny is off balance often times and has flaws. The Mayweather-Marquez fight made me change my pick too. Cotto needs to beat Manny, or the Ricans will have to put their hope in Mario Santiago and Juan Ma Lopez.

The contract on both fights states a catch weight, but there is nothing on the contract that says you have to starve yourself and stay within the weight limit. With that said, DLH's ego cost him the fight, plus the fact the PACQUIAO box him flawlessly and stuck with the game plan perfectly.

Roach know that 145lbs agreed catchweight would not damage Cotto because his last outing he scaled 146lbs. But what he wanted to protect is his prize-fighter Manny because he's just good in 140lbs but he knows he is still competitve until 145lbs but above that, either him or his opponent, Manny would be at greater risk! The only reason for the 145lbs catchweight is to make the fight between the two happened, above or below that won't make the fight a reality!

If Cotto weighed 145lbs during scaling and at fight night just a day after the scaling he would weigh 160lbs, would damage Cotto more rather than what he gets! IMO 10lbs for 24hrs rehydating would be the maximum ideal weight for a fighter before coming up to the ring. Though Pac would just come up at barely around 149lbs on that fight night would be the least he could manage to preserves his arsenals.

roach is an arrogant piece of **** lately. Who is he to think he can dictate terms? He can go **** himself sideways. It's a WW title fight...how many times in the past has a title been at a catchweight? And what if Manny does win? Will he give up the belt to the first challenger or will he finally man up and go to 147 or, as I suspect, will he try to do all fights at a catchweight? ****ing bull****.
