If Floyd would have gone up to 160 and lose, and blame it on the weight he would get crushed by the fans and media.

I don't see any possible way that this fight would have looked any different at a different weight. Maybe there wouldn't have been the knock down. I could understand the argument if Juan was actually able to land punches but he really wasn't even doing that. Juan is one of my favorite fighters, but I think regardless of what weight they fought at, this would have been a shutout decision in Floyd's favor.
It's not even as if Floyd was pushing or bulllying Juan around the ring like Diaz tried to do, or someone like Katsidis or Hatton would do. Floyd overall kept the fight pretty technical and totally outskilled him.

He said it was alot of weight and he had to gain it way too fast. He lost a lot of steamed as the fight progressed. It didn't help also that Floyd came in Stronger than expected.
But he knew he had one shot or else someone else would've taking his place. when you're 36 years old its isn't easy to wait for fights. Thats why Mosley challenged Mayweather is now or perhaps never.

People gotta realize what JMM was up against here.
And for the idiot earlier, watch JMM at lower weights and tell me him and Floyd don't make a much better fight at 30'.
GTFO. JMM is a master boxer.

Oh, okay, I see what you guys are saying now. But, I think that it's pretty much generally agreed that draining yourself to that extent for a fight would be foolish, correct? And if the same happened here in reverse, then do we agree that calling for this fight against Mayweather was foolish on the part of Marquez and his camp?

Ive seen him talk about the fight about 5 times and all 5 times he basicaly says that he only lost because of the weight. He never even talked about anything Floyd did. It sounds like one of those guys who are sore losers and cant ever admit they may have really lost a fight. I was able to overlook his stuff with the other black fighter who's named I cant think of right now, I overlooked him dis*****g the John fight, and I overlooked him dis*****g the Pac fight but this fight was clear as day.
Again, the weight and size definatly was there but people asked him about that stuff a million times before the fight and every single time he said that its not an issue. Its like people were even trying to get him to say something about it and he wouldnt. You could tell it was genuine too, like he really didnt think that the weight would be much of an issue and he felt great at that weight. Then soon as he loses he talks non stop about it. I could live with it if he lost to a huge brawler who JMM is twice as skilled but that wasnt the case in this fight. He was also getting outskilled and out smarted but he wont admit that in any way. Im not even saying any of this in a normal sense. Im just saying that I hate it when anyone loses clearly and doesnt give there opponent any credit. He atleast couldve said some good things. I think he knew that he had the media & fans back though because they hate Floyd so he could get away with putting every single thing on the weight as to why he lost
did he look like he could move around like he could at 130?
no, he didn't. He looked slow and heavy. so obviously weight is an issue. When you promote a fight you don't go saying you will show up out of shape.
pointless thread
