yep, hes a massive guy and to fight his old style, staying light on his feet, using speed and having the stamina to do that 12 rounds, something has to give and those were arm punches and him not committing to them.

Still even arm punches from a 270 pound guy are going to hurt a bit more than paulie M's or calzaghe's slaps but now he is turning into his shots and committing to them, started doing that with the wilder 2 fight, realizing wilder cant really fight well inside or going backwards.

Maybe the longest reach of any champion in history. You're always within his range, and he's throwing from all angles. Really hard to cope with that.

AJ is a pumped up bodybuilder and his power is not that great. The reason why fury has been on a KO streak lately is because of sugar hill. He wants fury to walk guys down and KO guys. Even though fury has been KO'ing guys, he is also getting hit a lot more than before. One could say that wilder, chisora and whyte aren't that skilled to put it on fury, but someone like a joyce, usyk and even jared anderson could hurt fury and even beat him if they are on their A-game.

Fury's reach and, more importantly, his ability to use it is special indeed.

Here's something shocking, however. Sonny Liston at 6'1" tall had an 84" reach, just an inch shorter than Fury's.

            Valuev 85"
            Lewis 84"
            Carnera 85"

Those men are giants, though. How the heck did Liston have arms that long?

The guy’s a giant with skills and mobility. Not the hardest puncher of them all, obviously, but anyone that big is gonna make his punches felt. Few can withstand twelve rounds of sustained punishment from Fury. Most of the fighters that have were aided by the fact that Tyson had to be wary of their own power.

Does it matter who hits hardest? Wilder hits hard, is predicted to beat josh and everyone but is deemed a bum?

Liston had huge fists as well. People simply have different bodily proportions — anomalies. And I agree about Fury. We’ve never seen anything like him.
