Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois Goes Down Three Times, But Blasts Out Kevin Lerena in Third

Daniel Dubois held on to his WBA 'regular' heavyweight title in remarkable circumstances, as he climbed off the floor three times in the first round having seemingly injured his knee to stop Kevin Lerena in the third round on the Fury-Chisora bill in Tottenham.

How does Daniel Triple Knee Dubois get 3 chances to get up (twice after taking a knee) but Lerena only gets 1 and the fight gets stopped after the bell rang? That's some bull, I'm not going to say Daniel didn't land some good shots because that uppercut was beautiful but c'mon man that's some bull**** British favoritism. DuBois doesn't beat anyone of note.

Lerena was told after round 1 that that wasn't what the deal was
BTW, shouldn't round 1 be scored 10-6? There were 3 knock downs?

It didn't look like he was caught or in trouble from his head, it looked like he messed his knee up and was struggle to put weight on it when throwing, hence the knee with no contact. His trainer said they aren't allowed to strap it so avoid throwing a hook. sideways twisting seems to be the problem. possibly a ligament?

Referee stoped it too soon. Smells fishy.
