Whyte escapes with another paper thin win against a semi retired boxer working in a factory. He is one lucky fighter to get the nod his way each time with Chisora, Parker and now Franklin and Povetkin getting severe covid at older age, Helenius being sick when facing Whyte. His real level will be on display again if Hearn allows the AJ rematch. For a guy with hardly any footwork, no ability to see uppercuts and the speed of a sloth he has done well. He probably should take the payday as he will eventually lose to these factory worker / taxi driver level guys.

I always was for 10-9 or 10-8 or 10-7… A guy scores a KD he wins the round no matter what happens unless other guy scores one too. I never have even rounds unless a guy winning the round gets deducted a point. If i’m sober & scoring I try to judge each round in 1 minute segments unless there is a KD. Who won 2 out of the 3 minutes?

Im not sure what the stats are for who thought who won, maybe more did think Jermaine won? So no point in rematch, the first fight will show a loss on Franklins CV still regardless. Maybe a rematch would be neccesary if it is to prove who is greater historically or better between the 2. Like Pac v floyd rematch or Nelo v Floyd.
But if Franklin wins, Whyte is still greater historically. Franklin just needs to go his own path. But Whyte did have home advantage so maybe a rematch is fair if Franklin wants it that bad and the public do also. If Whyte thinks he beatS franklin 10 out of 10 times maybe have a rematch to prove it. If beating Franklin again enhances career maybe have rematch?
Got to weight it all up.

Usual Matchroom bullchit, but at least people see straight through it these days. Jermaine Franklin flew across the pond, with a small number of people, and owned Dillian Shyte in his own backyard. We all saw it!

One of those fights where it wasn't really a robbery but at the same time was in no way a clear win.

There isn't going to be a rematch though while Whyte still has big fight aspirations.

Hopefully Franklin can springboard off of this effort to get another high profile opportunity, one he can train for full time.

Finally people waking up to this guy only being where he is because of his promoter.
If Whyte was as bad as you are trying to make out? Parker would of stopped him.

I get it, Whyte is not a elite fighter. I have never rated him anywhere near elite.

I have always rated him as a high end European level fighter - Low level World Level fighter when he was at his best.

Surely for people to react all dramatic like they are in this thread, they must of actually believed that Whyte was a elite level fighter.

Whyte has had a good career, but for some time now he has been regressing. He has been getting ****** up, knocked down and ****** out 'Continually'.

Dubois, Joyce, Joshua they all beat him in my opinion. And they do it more impressively than Tyson Fury.

I am not really a big fan of Whyte, but you cannot deny his effort and passion for fighting. He has taken on big fights, and it takes some resolve to jump straight back inside a ring with a fighter who has just obliterate you 'And then avenge that loss'.

Just accept that Whyte is not a elite level fighter, and that is no crime. But he has fought at a good standard, and taken opportunities.

No need for immediate rematch, jermain stepped up and fell short. Jermain needs to beat some fighters who are better than whyte, then it will be worth a rematch.
Jermain needs to can fight ortiz, joshua, ddd, if he can beat some of that calibre then why not rematch? If you can't beat them the n no rematch. And you don't need rematch anyway, we can see how well you did, we don't think any less of you as you got an official loss. The rematch would only be for you to feel better, but you should be proud anyway. You did well against whyte

The best way for this to go is make AJ fight Franklin, and put Whyte on the sidelines no warm up fight nothing and then get the rematch with AJ he needs to be treated like a punk

With that mentality then it should work the opposite way. AJ clearly beat Whyte so why would they consider a rematch.
