No one actually believes that Crawford ducked Spence. Everyone saw the ridiculous offer that Al Haymon used to intentionally sabotage negotiations for what it is. We just have writers who work for boxingscene/CBS/PBC and a handful of youtubers diligently doing their job to create false narratives.

Pacqiao made $12.5 million vs Thurman who made $2.5 million and their PPV sold 500,000. PAC is bigger than Bud and Crawford so it’s insane that there was a $50 million pot on the table so yeah, Crawford is a liar and ducked Spence. If he was telling the truth, Boots was available and even called him out but he ducked him too to go fight Avaghrafstnfsvvyu … nobody knows his name.

Buds stepped up 3 divisions but it's about who you fought. Pac stepped up 7 divisions and fought cotto. Cott o was a solid WW and historically will be seen as such, a solid WW. Pac signed to fight spence, again historically a solid WW, when Pac started at light fkyweight.
People feel even a win over Spence it's just the beginning. People will expect more from bud after beating spence and vice versa

Bud is having a pity party. He's never really had to challenge himself over the years in his reign as a P4P champion. He finally has a legitimate challenge (one he may win or lose; there is no clear cut favorite), and he's full of excuses. He's a scared/concerned fighter.....and we're watching his fears unfold right in front of our eyes.

I don't think it's about people liking you. It's about you, your groupies, and some of the media claiming that your the best thing since sliced bread and P4P "best" when your competition has been lackluster at best. Your claim to fame is the undisputed spot 140, but who did you exactly beat to become undisputed? Postol was the best win and that not saying much. But in the end you were undisputed, ok, what else have you done? Beat some paper champions in multiple divisions? Which top tier opponents have you beat In their prime? Your fans and the media will of course say, well, the competition that was available at 130, 135, 140 at the time is not Crawford's fault, maybe, but once you moved up to WW a few years back, you had the opportunity to take the division by storm, at that time, Porter, Garcia, Spence, are even Thurman were still considered somewhat in their prime, and what do you do? You wait around, allow those guys to face each other and you continue the trend of fighting B and C level opponents, or washed up opponents and then when you finally get the opportunity to fight Spence, a guy still considered top tier in their prime, you run away again claiming they are not paying you enough even though you have sold crap on PPV. Great fighters through out history, will take a chance and less money to get a fight that they know if they win, will open up doors to bigger things and money, that's the way it works in boxing, just off the top of my head I could think of when De la Hoya took less to get the Chavez fight, When Pac and Mayweather took less to fight De la Hoya, even though he lost, When Canelo took less to fight Mayweather, these fights put these guys in the lime light and made a ton of money because of it, they took the risk, payed your dues, but Crawford wants everything handed to him. You can blame the other side all you want but truth is, that when fighters want a fight, they get it done, look at Tank and Garcia, Fury, Wilder, Canelo, GGG, ect ect. At the end of the day Crawford is 35 and not one single signature fight, and the only determining factor in that is this clown who is so insecure that he has to come out on his social media everyday, to tell us how great he is......

I call this The Roy Jones Effect. When Roy Jones was in his prime, he ducked the biggest names by asking for ridiculous purses. If he had taken just one pay cut to face a big name while he was in his prime, it would've opened up a gateway to fortunes and fame. Instead, he let his skills erode, then started to fight out of desperation. Outside of the boxing world, no one knows his name, he is now broke, still fighting (or is at least always entertaining offers), and Is now chasing ghosts.

Does Crawford wanna be that guy? I wish folks would learn from the mistakes of Roy Jones Jr.

That’s the exact way business is done in boxing anymore. You have one fighter that can barely break 50k per ppv, was overpaid for a decade through a promoter that was losing money. On the other side you have a proven PPV fighter who also sells out stadiums. Why do you think not a single promoter has jumped in to scoop up the supposed pfp#1? Because he can’t sell! You’d think all promoters would be jumping all over themselves to sign the supposed pfp#1 that’s now a free agent. However, it took a fly by night outfit ala RocNation/Triller to provide him his overpay. I highly doubt they’ll even make good on the loan they will default on in order to pay Bud.

Bud doesn’t like the fact that he can’t get his golden ticket guarantee. He knows he can’t sell s h I t. Of course Spence will take the no guarantee because he knows he can sell. The percentage is another issue. What business entity in their right minds would EVER provide more money on a percentage basis than what the fighter is worth given a decade of data that proves said fighter loses production shows money?

This is a business, not a charity.

Crawford’s ego was inflated due to journalists hyping up all of his wins after Postol. But the media hype never translated to PPV because you can’t force a fighter onto fans like that without good opposition. Crawford never became a PPV attraction because he never really stepped up in competition after 2016. He was basically fighting opponents that were more suitable for prospects.
