I speak for all us Spence fans when I say we’re scared of bud because we likely lose to a very special fighter that won the undisputed championship in his second consecutive wt class by stopping an undefeated opponent and taking the belts a guy who protects the titles by avoiding the best of the division

None of what you said explains the completely arbitrary standards that you hold him to that no other fighter in the history of the sport has ever lived up to. You just changed the subject.Comment

Is spence not the more popular fighter who currently has 3 belts? Like it or not this means that crawford would have to take a smaller percentage and negotiate good terms on the rematch if he wins, which he says he will do handily, thats the way things are done in boxing
so what percentage did he agree to?Last edited by Smash; 12-01-2022, 04:46 PM.Comment

Yes up front money. No guarantees for the fighters in this fight. What part of that don’t you understand? Its been out there in the media ever since it became apparent that it would be the case. You talking about you’re not falling for what Crawford said about lack of transparency. But it wasn’t even Crawford who first revealed that it was an issue. It was Mike Coppinger. And just saying you’re not falling for what the media and the fighter have both said about what happened with negotiations on two separate occasions without giving any explanation as to why indicates that you don’t care about facts or relevant information. You’re just determined to create your own narrative. The date was never confirmed. It was proposed. And it was clearly stated by Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza that the fight was not going to happen on Nov 19th back in October. You’re making my point for me by admitting that MOST terms had been agreed to. Crawford agreed to a fight of this magnitude with no guarantee and a significantly smaller percentage of the profits. All of his pay would have been coming from how well the fight sold. A request for an expense sheet when you’re splitting profits with no guarantee is fundamental. Al Haymon, Errol Spence and the PBC have been setting up roadblocks for this fight for four years and this negotiation had been going on for sixth months. At a certain point its time to move on and take A FiIGHT, continue with your career and make money. Crawford was smart enough to have a back up plan. These people thought they could string him AND US along for forever and that he and the viewing pubic would just be stuck with whatever they decided to do. But he had options. And its his biggest pay day so far! So they know now that they’re going to have to come correct to deal with him in the future. He won and has more leverage now than he did before. And all of the haters are drowning in their tears.
Upfront money? Lol what..look man im not falling for that 'lack transparency' bs speech from bud ,haymon ,esj and bud himself said it was almost done deal and was about to be announced ,keep in mind when such big announcement with date confirmed are made its cause both parties agreed to all or most terms, purse % splits and ppv revenue most importantly, sadly bud had other plans all along the rest is history

Once again I said nothing about who is the more popular fighter. You just keep changing the subject and trying to create a narrative. You know that you don’t have a real point to make so you keep spinning.

no spinning, if these guys were negotiating for months im sure the spit was the first thing up for discussion, if someone (crawford) was on the wrong end of that and the thing broke down surely he would be shouting from the rooftops, i agreed to their spit (insert split) & would say i agreed to for example 40% or whatever & still nothing, if he was given a bad split surely he would be irate and wanting to tell everyone, does that not make sense?Comment

It's because you haven't did shit in your undisputed career but get rich off of Bob Arum. How many future Hall of Famers have you challenged and defeated? The answer is none. You currently have one of the weaker resumes in all of boxing.Comment
