And who's going to willingly fight a southpaw with a record like Bakhodir for pennies when they could sit around for a better pay day like most boxers choose to now across all divisions...
Joyce had been a pro less than 2 years when he faced Bryant Jennings. That's the level of opponent Jalolov should be in with, guys ranked fringe top 10 or just outside of it. Joyce fought Dubois after less than 3 years as a pro. Jalolov turned pro 4 years ago so is behind schedule imo.

Harper is ranked 128th in the world and previously quit a fight in the opening seconds. It wouldn't have cost huge money to find a better opponent than that.

Jennings was ranked by a sanctioning body what does that really mean in the grand scheme of things? the last guy he'd beat with a recognizable name was Dimitrenko and that isn't saying much and he was coming off a loss.

Let's be honest guys like Tom Schwarz was ranked #2 in the very same "sanctioning body" because he won some useless intercontinental mickey mouse belt.

As for Dubois it was a British title fight since when did we start rating British/NABF fights as serious!?

And again there was an impetus to move Joyce the way they did Jalolov was 23/24 when he turned over not 32/3... but he does need to need to fight better competition for sure.

Or he could end up in a situation like Yarde in a position to fight a champion and no experience to deal with certain situations or blow his proverbial load and lose a fight he's winning.

Time for Jalolov to step up. His next fight must be a fringe contender or a gatekeeper.

          Huh?

Ricardo Torrez has fought 4 times in 2022. He just knocked out a guy about a month ago.

Torrez should be fighting every 1.5 months, even if it has to be on a non televised card

Jalolov is wasting his time against these no-hopers when he should be fighting at least durable journeymen. Harper was a considerable step down from Mulowayi.

You said at least Jalolov is active unlike Torrez.

But Torrez has fought 4 times this year, Jalolov only 3.

It’s possible he’s not ready to move up in class and may never be.

I remember his amateur bout with Joyce. At the time I was stunned at his total lack of stamina. If he hasn’t fixed that, he’ll never survive any kind of back and forth.

For everyone complaining about the opponent, I doubt they want to pay big money to an opponent when they are already paying the main event fighters a lot. Jalolov gets some rounds in and moves to his next opponent. TR would help this guys career along big time. They can pay for better opponents.
