Interesting fight. Have always been a Thurman fan. Only if he was more active, he would have been much further ahead. I always believe had they fought, Thurman would have beaten Crawford. Their styles mesh perfectly and with Keith bombs and Crawford's propensity to get into a brawl, he may get KO'ed. With Spence, it is such a different fight. A part of me see it playing out as Brook-Spence where Brook was sharp earlier on and winning until Spence starts to bear down and impose his will and size. The other part of me also say that was the hungry Spence and this recent version of him is different. Ugas made him look great with his non existent leg movement, I don't think Thurman stays in the pocket and allow Errol to tee off. Thurman may not be the same fighter but one thing he can still do is throw bombs and I don't think Spence ever faced a fighter who can bomb, smart and with lateral movement like Thurman. Thurman doesn't seem to fatigue too much either and for those saying Thurman gets hurt to the body, let's not forget Spence has been hurt to the chin as well by lesser fighters who don't punch with the thud and the accuracy of Thurman. I 'll much rather see Spence fight Thurman in the absence of a Crawford fight than a Boots or Ortiz whom we still don't know how good they are. Sure Spence should be favored but assuming Thurman's inactivity hasn't caught up to him, it will be a very interesting fight.Comment

I know exactly what I 'm talking about, just go down the list of the top 10 ranked at 147 and tell me which one of them Boots has fought. You don't get to fight for 3 belts by fighting and knocking out mid-tier to waste of time fighters.
Do you even know what the hell you saying, you don't become 29-0-1 with 27 by ko without fighting what's available his last 10 bouts all had winning records so the 1st 20 maybe from the library or some local post office posing as a fighter but the boy has skills, and the only question should be how can he take it against an elite fighters of the division.Comment

He has 1 loss to a legend in a close fight, and has been in with the top in the division at the time and won. He's also been a champion that feared no one but Spence, well until now. Maybe it took him this long to want that type of a challenge, but I can't say anyone, besides Crawford deserves it more, going by comparable bodies of work.Comment

Honestly I don't believe it is fear. I think it has more to do with the state of boxing. Thurman not fighting Spence back then or Spence not fighting Boots now or Crawford not pushing for Ortiz or Boots all have the same connotation. A perceived high risk fight with not enough reward. If there is money in those fights and no other big money fight on the horizon, they will take those fights. Thurman the was busy chasing Floyd, Errol now was busy getting Crawford and vice versa and Thurman while his utterances is more in favor of fighting Spence, if Spence or Crawford wasn't available and Al Haymon puts up enough money for Boots, he will have no choice to take the fight. It's the same reason Boots is not kicking down the down to fight Ortiz and vice versa. So I say while a small percentage of the reason has some inclination of ducking, the larger percentage just comes down to the business of boxing and these fighters have learned well too.

Fact you can't even admit he throws bombs already shows your bias. I saw Thurman hit Garcia so hard I though he decapitated the guy. The guy can punch and that is indisputable. He is not stopping people doesn't change that fact. So remove your emotions and focus on the empirical facts.Comment
