How can anyone sleep on Thurman??? He lost only one fight to an all time great and future hall of famer. At this stage, I would give Spence the edge, but let’s not pretend that Spence is still the same beast after his accident. His legs do not look the same. He was very impressive against Ugas, but no one noticed when he was rocked??? TWICE!!! If Porter was competitive against Spence at his best, you don’t think think Thurman can rise to the occasion and have a great performance against a lesser version of Spence??? If they fight, it will be a classic!!! Thurman is a smart fighter with great lateral movement. His style alone will give Spence problems. Thurman throws in combinations as well. It’s not hard to envision him getting the early rounds. Of course Spence seems to get better as the fight goes on, but he is not a one punch knock out artist. If he gets down on the scorecards early, it’s very possible to see an upset. If there’s no Crawford vs Spence, then this fight NEEDS to happen. It will be just as entertaining.

"Great" is such a relative thing. Every fan (and writer) has an opinion on who or what is great. When Thurman fought Porter , I'd say that was a great fight.
Thurman, at the peak of his game, was close to great. Spence, at this point, hasn't really proven he's great. Of course, those are my opinions.

TGB is basically Errol's management. They requested the fight. They only do that with Errol's blessing.

Ortiz and Boots haven't fought anyone to get a shot at fighting for 3 belts. They should fight a least a top contender or try to get a shot at Crawford's 1 belt that he's holding hostage. At least Thurman has fought champions and the top fighters in the division, and been a champion himself. Everyone keeps trying to just hand these guys a championship fight, they should earn it.

I agree with you on your assessment of Thurman. He receives a heavy amount of undue hate on this site because they are so infatuated with the young guys, Ortiz and Ennis, that haven't done close to what Keef has. They haven't even fought a topnotch fighter, but they're being hailed as the most dangerous guys in the division, and I think Boots has the potential to be great, but damn, let him work for it and prove it. Plus, Thurman cuts deep with his arrogance, but he backed a lot of it up. He will probably make the fight very entertaining in the first half, but after about 6 rounds, Spence will destroy his body and the beats will come on at maximum volume.

Boooo, same old misguided rhetoric. Tell Boots to fight a top 5 fighter first. Also, why isn't Boots calling 1 belt Crawford, if he will fight Avanesyen, then would fight Boots, right?

Do you even know what the hell you saying, you don't become 29-0-1 with 27 by ko without fighting what's available his last 10 bouts all had winning records so the 1st 20 maybe from the library or some local post office posing as a fighter but the boy has skills, and the only question should be how can he take it against an elite fighters of the division.

Y’all keep talking about body shots he can’t take but he never went down from one yet and he knows how to get on his bike when in trouble lol. If Porter can last 12 rounds THURMAN damn sure can and don’t act like a Thurman can’t pop either. Ugas wobbled Spence and he hits like Malinaggi
